Component repairs and production

Customers from the aviation and aerospace industry save over 90 % in costs by repairing blisks (blade integrated disks) or compressor or turbine blades: Instead of procuring new damaged components, they generate new ones precisely using laser metal deposition (LMD). Other high-quality components, such as different housings, can also be geometrically adapted, repaired or generated using this process. The laser creates a weld pool on the surface of a component and melts the metal powder supplied to the desired shape at the same time. Our lasers are also used in the aviation and aerospace industry for cutting, welding, marking, drilling and structural processing of surfaces. 

Inductive material testing and heat treatment

Induction is used for non-destructive testing of important components such as turbine blades in the aviation and aerospace industry. With inductive heating , customers from the industry can easily form aluminum tubes. Inductive heat treatment is also used for connection technology - for example for screws. At TRUMPF, industry customers benefit from compact power supplies with high power density. The technology can also be easily integrated into existing production lines. Inductive power supplies from TRUMPF Hüttinger are characterized by high efficiency, low cooling water requirements and maximum application flexibility.
