The specialist
The TruFiber P series was developed for a wide range of production requirements and therefore offers a variety of configuration options: As a singlemode laser with up to 2 kW for high-precision applications or as a multimode variant with up to 6 kW for applications with a higher welding depth or welding speed - all in a compact housing. Each variant can be combined with the complete laser system technology from TRUMPF and supplemented by comprehensive services. The result: a flexibly configurable complete package with the optimum value for money for your specific production requirements.
What makes the TruFiber P so special
The TruFiber P is tailored to specific applications. The selection of singlemode or multimode variants, suitable fiber diameters and lengths as well as suitable optics and sensors provides exactly the right solution package for a wide range of processing tasks.
BrightLine Mode technology enables the combination of singlemode and multimode beams in the patented TRUMPF 2-in-1 laser light cable. This enables particularly high-quality weld seams to be produced on copper, aluminum, mild steel or stainless steel with minimal spatter formation.
TruControl is the fastest and most intelligent laser control system on the market. This allows you to control your laser directly and without external modules. The system not only controls the laser power in real time, but also allows optics and sensors to be programmed.
With a fiber diameter of just 25 micrometers, the singlemode variant offers the necessary beam quality for high-precision applications. Ideal for the finest weld seams and cuts with the highest quality requirements.

The TruFiber P in use
Whether precision work with singlemode or robust multimode applications with high energy input: The TruFiber P series is designed as a modular system and thus covers a broad spectrum - from medical technology to electromobility. Thanks to its compatibility with the TRUMPF optics and sensor portfolio, the laser can be optimally adapted to a wide range of materials and processes.
Gear welding for lightweight components
Gear welding for lightweight components
Modern gearboxes must become ever more compact and lighter without compromising on performance. The components are often made of different metals, which places high demands on the welding process.
With outputs of up to 6 kW and outstanding beam quality from fibers with a small core diameter, TruFiber P lasers are ideal for precise deep hole welding. The components are often made of different metals, which places high demands on the welding process.
Busbar welding of cylindrical battery cells
Busbar welding of cylindrical battery cells
During busbar welding, battery terminal contacts must be reliably connected - with low-spatter, conductive and minimal heat input. Particularly with cylindrical cells, the smallest contact surfaces must be welded precisely and reproducibly to ensure a stable and durable connection.
The TruFiber P singlemode lasers offer the highest beam quality for the smallest welding spots and enable the finest, reproducible seams even on the smallest components. BrightLine mode reduces spatter formation even at high welding speeds.
Fine welding in medical technology
Fine welding in medical technology
Maximum precision and reproducible weld seams are essential in the manufacture of endoscopic instruments. The surfaces must be flawless and must not require any post-processing, while at the same time the smallest components must be reliably connected.
The outstanding single-mode beam quality of the TruFiber P lasers enables the smallest welding spot diameters for precise, fine weld seams even on miniaturized components, while BrightLine Mode minimizes spatter formation. With active power regulation and appropriate process monitoring, we guarantee consistent quality for your medical technology applications.
Laser metal fusion for 3D printing
Laser metal fusion for 3D printing
Metallic 3D printing requires precise energy input in order to selectively melt metal powder layer by layer. Particularly in demanding industries such as dental and medical technology or aerospace, complex geometries with high material quality are required.
The singlemode lasers of the TruFiber P family enable maximum design freedom as well as material and weight reduction thanks to their precisely focusable beam quality. The stable laser power and beam guidance guarantee reproducible results and high-quality component properties - even with filigree structures and complex internal contours that could not be produced conventionally.
One system. Everything TRUMPF.
A laser alone is not a solution. Only in combination with precise optics, intelligent sensor technology and tailor-made services can a system be created that makes your applications possible and ensures reliable processes. With TRUMPF, you have a partner who not only supplies technology, but also reliable process results - solutions that measurably advance your production and pay off through sustainable success.
Optics
Guide and focus the laser beamOverview
Optics focus the laser beam precisely onto the workpiece - exactly at the point where the processing takes place. TRUMPF offers two variants for this:
Classic processing optics (BEO) focus a laser beam on a fixed processing point. To cover the processing surface, either the optics or the workpiece must be moved.
Programmable focusing optics (PFO) use mirrors to flexibly direct the laser beam to any position in the processing field - without any mechanical movement of the workpiece or optics. All optics can be combined via an interface with various sensors for process monitoring - from TRUMPF or third-party suppliers.
