Are you looking for the right scanner optics for remote processing? Would you like to orient your laser process using features to be detected on the component? You want to be sure that the laser power remains stable, even on the ten-thousandth component? Don't want to purchase a chiller specially for laser light cables and optics? Would you like to use robots to carry out the laser process? The TruFiber with periphery provides a comprehensive solution for this and many other applications.
Fiber laser with TRUMPF DNA
The TruFiber combines all the advantages of fiber laser technology. Not only do you benefit from the best beam quality and our robust "all-in-fibre" resonator concept, but also from the unique opportunities of TRUMPF TruControl laser control. You will not compromise laser safety with TruFiber. Furthermore, we offer you a wide range of perfectly coordinated process optics from a single source, so that depending on requirements, you can choose between Single Mode beam quality for highly dynamic welding and cutting processes or multiple mode beam quality for gap bridging and greater position tolerances.
The laser, control, beam guidance, processing optics, and sensor system are optimally attuned to one another and can be combined perfectly at TRUMPF.
With its particularly robust design concept, the TruFiber withstands disturbing influences and external demands.
Oscillation of the laser beam brings advantages in terms of the welding geometry and weld seam quality
The TruFiber provides high integration capabilities and TruControl intelligent control.
Machine and system constructors are responsible for operator safety for the laser systems. The TruFiber impresses with its top level of safety.
Analyze and control your production processes

Welding in battery technology
The TruFiber is suitable for a wide range of tasks within electric mobility. For example, the very good beam quality helps when welding mixed compounds such as cell connectors. The welding depth can be increased when welding busbars with the TruFiber due to its high level of intensity.

Wobble welding
The oscillation of the laser beam while it moves forward provides a range of process advantages and greater freedom – for example improved weld seam quality, adjustable seam width, and a homogenous welding depth.

Welding of hairpins for electric motors
The TruFiber is well suited to processing electric motor hairpins, depending on the size and requirements involved. VisionLine image processing in conjunction with the PFO scanner optics support laser beam positioning along the joint gap

Laser precision cutting
Due to its outstanding focusability, you can achieve highly precise and dynamic processing results with delicate structures with the TruFiber – and optimize your process times at the same time.

Laser precision welding
Achieve extremely delicate weld seams with minimal energy input into the workpiece with the TruFiber as your tool of choice, for example when welding seams on electronic components.

TruControl
TruControl is the quick and easy-to-use control for TRUMPF solid-state lasers. It regulates the laser power in real time in order to deliver reproducible results. Additional modules are specially tailored to the requirements of the TruFiber. The CutAssist option automatically adapts the laser parameters to the path velocity of the guidance system. In order to ensure that parts are traceable, the DataStore module records all quality-related data.
If external controls are present, TruControl will communicate with them via standard interfaces. Inputs are made via the touchscreen of the operating panel or via a panel PC. You can integrate your laser into the network via Ethernet and connect multiple PCs.

Smart Teach app
With the PFO Smart Teach app, you can create laser programs for your programmable focusing optics (PFO) in the blink of an eye. Whether it's laser welding, laser cutting, or laser cleaning – you can teach conveniently directly on the component. For this purpose, the camera integrated into the PFO transmits live images to the app. Due to the PFO SmartTeach, you save valuable time (up to 50% depending on the component) when setting up compared to conventional teaching.
With TRUMPF you have the ability to adapt your solid-state laser to your installation and operating situation with flexibility. This applies, for example, to all beam guidance components and the control. You also have several options for cooling the laser. Interfaces for different optics are provided right from the start. The TRUMPF Remote Service helps you to ensure your system remains available, anywhere and at any time.

100% consistent process results – the integrated laser power control measures and regulates the power in real time, accurate to +/- 1%. This means you always obtain the same process results. The laser power is regulated independently of the ambient conditions. Due to its particularly robust design concept, the TruFiber withstands disturbing influences and external demands extremely well.

The stand-alone design provides you with a complete turnkey laser unit in the cabinet with integrated water/air compressor cooler up to 1 kW. Due to the compact footprint of the overall device, it can be easily integrated into laser systems.

Intelligent optics can be synchronized with your laser via a dedicated interface. This will allow you to use the PFO scanner optics optimally for your purposes. You can easily program the processing optics via the laser control system. Wobble geometries can be superimposed directly on the path geometry, for example. Additional controls are not necessary.

Interfaces are key for the integration of a TruFiber laser into your machine or production line. The solid-state lasers from TRUMPF offer interfaces to all common fieldbus systems. Also available: real-time interface, parallel digital I/O, interface for process sensor systems, OPC UA software interface, analog input board, interface for intelligent TRUMPF optics (CFO, PFO).
In the event of an error, TRUMPF service experts will remotely access your laser via a secure remote connection. In many cases the fault can be remedied directly in this way, or the configuration of the laser can be modified in a way that permits you to continue manufacturing until the spare part arrives.
The TruFiber from TRUMPF can also be used reliably in extreme climates. The tropical version of the fiber laser extends the relative humidity to 100% at 32°C.
Image processing
TRUMPF VisionLine image processing detects features on the components and ensures that welding is always in the correct location.
Calibration tool
The TRUMPF CalibrationLine tool checks and corrects the focal position and laser power on the workpiece at regular, individually definable intervals.
TRUMPF offers you all the components you need for beam guidance from the laser to the workpiece. This also applies for various focusing optics which have proven themselves to be precise and reliable over many years of industrial use. The optics can be easily integrated – both in stand-alone processing stations as well as in complete production lines. The modular structure enables the optics to be continually adapted to the laser types and various processing situations.
Programmable focusing optics
Regardless of whether you are welding, cutting, ablating, heat treating, or drilling, you can count on high-quality process results with robust focusing optics from TRUMPF.
